I decided to take a trip back down memory lane and play Wizardry 1. Wow, what a blast! The last time I played it I was maybe 12 years old and using my folks' Apple IIe. Anyway, there are probably lots of sites out there that have it, but my favorite oldies site is the Underdogs at:

www.the-underdogs.org

It took a little bit of figuring out, but I now have a good emulator that runs all those old Apple II games.

Yes. I have stored an old PC ( 386, 4 MB Ram, DOS ) for all those oldies but goldies.

And many of my downloaded games came from "the underdogs".

After reading your post, I was very excited to play the first wizardry, but when i went to get it out of the box, viola, the box was gone.....I hope somebody got great satisfaction for taking my Wizardry game. (plus the other 12 games in the box) So I just had to go buy one on Ebay, and the shipping and handling is more expensive than the game. But at least i still have the strategy guide....(sighs)

Light Bulb

Going of topic because of Dedzy's sig...

*Sung to the toon of Chatanooga Chu-Chu*

Pardon me boy,
is this the Lair of Great Cthulhu?
In the city of slime,
where it's night all the time...

Bob Hope never went,
along the road to Great Cthulhu,
and Triple-A has not maps,
and all the Tcho-Tchos lay traps.

You'll see an ancient sunk city where the angles are wrong.
You'll see the fourth dimension if you're there very long.
Come to the conventacle,
bring along a pentacle,
otherwise you'll be dragged off by a tentacle.

A mountain's in the middle with a house on the peak:
A gnashin' and a thrashin' and a clackin' of beak.
Your soul will be a lackin',
when you see the mighty kracken.
Oo-oo Great Cthulhu is staring to speak!

So come on board,
along the road to Great Cthulhu.
Wen-di-gos and dholes,
will make Big Macs of your souls.

Under the sea,
down in the ancient city of R'lyeh.
In the lair of Great Cthulhu,
they'll suck your soul away!

Great Cthulhu, Great Cthulhu, suck your soul away
Great Cthulhu, Great Cthulhu
In the lair of Great Cthulhu,
they'll suck your soul away.

Argonnes!
That was really groovy man. I heard another one about Cthulhu recorded to Abba's 'Fernando' songe.
