Celestial Fury?

I read there is a Weapon named Celestial Fury hidden somewhere.
Can anyone tell me where it is (something about pirates i heard)?
What does it do?

Well it doesnt have something to do with pirates.

Its found in the Temple District in a house called the "guarded compound". You will have to fight to get it though...

Celestial Fury is a katana +3 with the following abilities:

Lightning strike once per day
blind once per day
every hit has a chance (5%) of making 20 additional electric damage
every hit has a chance to stun the opponent (there is a save vs spell)
damage 1D10 +3
thaco +3
one handed
slashing
not usable by mage, cleric etc

It's a difficult but not impossible fight for low level parties, so prepare well and save as often as you can. The rewards are huge, and the Celestial Fury is one of the best weapons in the game IMHO.

Just make sure once you are on the 2nd floor of the guarded compound, try not to walk past the pillars adjacent to both stair cases (nasty traps) and use summoning spells.

the fights a bit of a b*stard but once done as Eratai said the rewards are huge. Celestial Fury is being weilded by a Kensai called Koshi (don't let him near your weaker party members) and You will meet the mage that you meet of the 1st floor again here. Target him IMEDIETLY!!! fire all missile weapons at the mage, just don't give him chance to start casting. (belive me it make the battle much easier to take the mage out FAST!!)

Do all these badguys hanging around there have another goal in life, like beeing an subquest or so?

Or are they just mobile armor for some really cool weapons and stuff?

In theory, this is a quest called "Slave Lords"...the goal of it is very simple, shoot first and never ask questions.
No one will give you the quest, so all you have to do is walk right into the "guarded compound" and just....hmmmm.....*kill*. Good exp, great loot, what else can we ask for?

yeah i make my own quest

im usually chaotic so i see that this house is a "guarded compound" and i think : "hey this house is guarded, lets see how powerful the guards are". Then i enter and a pair of buddies tell me to go or ill suffer.. thats fun !!

Now my pride is hurt so i have to kill everyone !!

If you have a low level party be sure to have your thief pumped with potion of master thievery or perception cause there are some really nasty traps in the house but as mentioned, the rewards are great!!! Alot of +2 weapons and shields, some gold and jewelry and high level scrolls too..

As always take out the mage and cleric first they are very nasty opponents
Flame arrow and magic missle them if you have that

Let you fighter get hacked at till you mages are ready to attack to the fighters
