I just started a new game, with a Lawful Neutral Monk PC, and I've been wondering... I am pretty sure that I'm supposed to get Nalia's Keep as a Monk Stronghold, but I'm not down with that. I already finished BG2 with that Stronghold, and it was somewhat boring. What is the most interesting/rewarding stronghold quest to do, and how can I make it so my monk can take a different (or multiple) stronghold(s) in shadowkeeper, or the console? Thanks.

Hmm.. I think I saw on a BG2 site somewhere that either the Mage or Paladin Strongholds were the most interesting. I think to get two Strongholds, it goes like this:

When Nalia asks if you want to take the Keep, say no.
When you get the Stronghold of your other class, return to Nalia and tell her that you want to take the Keep.

I'm not sure if that is what it is, but I think that is how it goes.

You would have to use Shadow Keeper to get another stronghold since you don't have 2 classes, there is no in game way. As for the most interesting stronghold...Mage? Unfortunately it is a HUGE let down. The theives guild seems the most interesting to me.

Ok, Starkiller.. Might you know how to do that in Shadowkeeper? I'm thinking of trying the ranger stronghold, as I heard some nice items are available.

The bard's stronghold is fun as hell. Probably the most interesing after trying a few of them. I had trouble with the Paladin quests as they got stuck at some point.

The bard one is cool because you ultimately get to star in a play and run a theatre house. Totally unique experience... BTW, I'd like to take this opportunity to mention what a cool character the bard is. When used properly, it kicks major glut. I never feel too bad if I lose a mage or a fighter as my skald can fill both roles somewhat adequately plus the skald songs rule oh and the harp O' Dischord is fun...

Actually the thieves guild is very boring. There are two very tiny quests and that's it. And you have to come back every five days or you lose it.

I've just got the Planar Sphere as I am a mage, and it's great fun. The sphere itself is really nice, you have a guardian golem and a team of young mages to command. That's partly why I am a mage in BG II - it's alotta fun

I agree with Baron Nocturna. The bard stronghold is the most fun. The thief stronghold can be nice if you take it after doing the underdark, the ranger and paladin strongholds are pretty good too (paladin one is the most difficult), the planar sphere is okay, the fighter's keep and the priest stronghold are nothing really special and playing with a druid means you'll be stuck after level 14 if you don'thave ToB, and no stronghold is worth that.
