This guy from Austin, Texas actually survived this hook through his head in a rather nasty industrial accident...



Both of his optical nerves were severed, leaving him blind.

Uh...it's a hoax.

The Sun is not known for its factual news stories, there are absolutely NO names mentioned at ALL in the Sun story AND when googling for this story through "normal" means - knowing that at LEAST a local Texas paper would have picked it up - there is nothing about it.

It's a lie.

I doubt very much that it is a hoax.

The Sun is the best selling newpaper in the UK, hoaxes aren't very big on their agenda (though trashy news stories are).

AND Google does not instantly add news stories to its repositories, indexing takes time.
