Sure - you can bring down Meph. I did it twice with different chars and both fights were equally hard. Be assured - it´ll be a long, bitter and acidic fight ...

First time I went after him I had him nearly dead when my ranger got hit and died. After that I don't think we got quite the same combinations of spells, hits and it took a lot more work to get him half dead again and then whammo...I got it again.. ugh. Taking a break and gonna go after him again next time I have a little time to kill.

Good luck he his tough. One of the things I did was try to keep any NPCs with me alive as long as I could with heal potions. This provided a distraction so my Ranger could pummel him with out taking to many hits. After losing my NPCs I used a retreat tactic to heal than turn around and assault him again. Eventually he will fall and it helps that both your weapons deal acid.

Mine hit with fire...sigh.. but I DO have a few acid things up my sleeve so to speak...the green armor she's wearing does acid fog and I have a few acid flasks and acid bombs.

I ran several different chars through Hordes, and had a couple that could go toe to toe with Big M, but a couple were more finesse fighters, than tanks, and so had to keep their distance from him, in as much as possible.
