The only side-effect it has, is that your reputation goes down by 2 points each time you turn into it. Thereby mimicking your "downfall" to evilness.

What's good about it, :

You get healed gully when turned in to slayer, healed fully (after a time) when you change back.

A lot of attackts per round, +/- 22 dmg per blow

It works the opposite way for me, the longer I am the slayer, the more damage I take! And when I change back to natural form, I have almost just 1 hp left!

I have read multiple posts stating that if you remain in Slayer form for an extended period of time you suffer damage and will eventually die if you don't change back soon enough. Haven't experienced this myself but evidently others have.

I've had that same problem. The first couple of times I NEEDED
to use it, I ended up dying anyways. I don't believe I've used
it since.

Apart from the very final battle, ive found that when i turn into the slayer i lose the 2 points of rep, but then after about 30 or so seconds i just suddenly die. I dont take any damage or anything, i just die. This doesnt happen in the final battle though. I am lawful good, if that might have an impact

I'd say you only have 30-45 seconds of being the slayer before you die. Its simple to see when you should change back. In the feedback box it says something like: "you feel yourself losing control...".. At that point you have maybe 10 seconds left..

Oops. I didn't realize that's what it meant. I just like the
look of the Slayer. Kinda like a gremlin on steroids.
