Something caused my richtx32.ocx file to go away or something, so I found it and downloaded it from the internet...but I cannot find any info about where to put the stupid thing so it can run properly and quit giving me errors. It is an ActiveX control.

Have you tried re-registering it? That may help... failing that, I would try it in my base Windows directory, or search through the registry for the directory where Windows thinks it should be.

Sorry I don't have better help, but I don't see it on my machine. I must not be looking hard enough, or in the right places.

What does that mean, to reregister it?

Also, the PC is not telling me what the pathway should be...but thanks for at least bumping to the top!

I think most OCX files go into the "System" folder of your Windows folder. If you have win2000/XP it's called system32. then it's loaded on startup.

Hey, you were right! I foud the old one in taht folder, and replaced it with the one I downloaded. I rebooted and did not get an error. I guess that file had become corrupted.

Thanks to both of you for your help!
