What's with the quest to kill this poor demented soul? He never attacked me, he never attacked the Leprechaun, and if he ever attacked the Jungle Lilies, more power to him!

I finally decided I had to kill him just to complete the warriors' quest, but the pitiful deranged magus didn't even put up a fight - one attempt to vanish and that was it! He just stood there and let himself be whacked! I'm tempted to restore an earlier game and just let him be, in accordance with the Oath of the Mavin.

Is there really any reason why I should kill him? Eagerly awaiting the advice of other adventurers, I remain your humble servant,

The quest is to take "him out" which I admit would feel better if he were fighting back too.

"Not fighting back?!" Holy pete! He came after my characters with "Demonic Fist" and "Locust Swarm", among others. We were after him as fast as we could.

There's certainly nothing wrong with whacking this one. He's evil to the core.

Thanks, Wyv and Saz. I guess I got lucky with my random number generator when he didn't fight back!

What I've found on Ramakamil (and on the other Wyr mystics) is they won't attack while they're talking. When they're spouting off their "Delight Enhanced the Lost Souls Dance" or "The Magic Tomes shall Turn to Stones", you can whack away at them.

My problem was that I was so fascinated with the weird things he was saying that I didn't start attacking until it was too late....

This is also true for the Rogues, Rattkins, etc...when they're doing their "thang", you can be attacking them and they won't attack back until they're finished. Bug or design? You decide.
