I am Christian/Wiccan.

I pray that the souls of those who have died are at peace.
I pray that the Spirits comfort those who remain.
I pray that those who have perpetrated this horror on innocent people are brought to justice!!!

I will see if there is an incantation for the truth to be revealed or if it can be divined.

I need to go "hug a tree", but I'm at work and CAN'T LEAVE!

Amen Memnoch. I saw the destruction on TV and I prayed that God would have mercy on the poor people caught in the buildings. The only thing anyone can do now is pray that those who did this will answer for their crimes at the last day.

And Dragonmage..Christian/Wiccan???

Peace be with you all.
Peace be with our countrymen.
God Speed to bringing a swift end to terrorist acts against ANY country with as little bloodshed as is possible. There has been enough already.

My prayers go out to the victims flown into the World Trade Center to their death, the victims of the resulting devastation, the victims in the streets when the buildings collapsed, the victims in the Pentagon, at the State Building, and on the flights that have crashed away from those sites as well as those left alive, without their loved ones who were so brutally taken away and the safety of those left alive to deal with the destruction and healing, both physical and emotional.

I pray for our military personnel that they will not be used and killed in any acts of retaliation against what has happened today.

I pray for the world.

I offer the following prayer of the Mystic, my own beliefs, in the hope that it can bring comfort and hope: The Great Invocation, dedicated to those who have lost their lives, and to those who will risk theirs to defend us.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God,
Let Light stream forth into the minds of Men,
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God,
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of Men,
May Christ return to Earth.

From the Center where the Will of God is known,
May Purpose drive the little wills of Men,
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the Center which we call the Race of Man,
May the Plan of Love and Light work out,
and may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light, and Love, and Power,
Restore the Plan on Earth.

I have no religious convictions, but I hope that all my American friends will accept my deepest condolances in these trying times.

Uh, yeah. Sounds weird, I know, but I'm VERY unconventional. I'm very tolerant and open to other's beliefs (even if I don't agree). I was raised non-denom. because my Dad denounced Catholicism (he and his siblings were treated poorly and he HATES hypocrites and feels most Catholics are [not my opinion]) and all other organized religion. I was not allowed to attend any kind of church growing up. My Mom was 7th-Day Adventist, then Baptist, but stopped going to church because of Dad. I had many religious friends in school trying to talk to me about God. I didn't want to listen. But I'd been reading the Bible since I was six. Then one day, my Senior year, I asked one of my best friends what all this meant that she'd been telling me about being "saved". She nearly choked on her breakfast! She and I talked off and on all day and then that night. She led me to Christ. I was saved that day, but I AM a genius and very inquisitive. I've always been interested in EVERYTHING. I got to comparing other religions with my own and decided that everyone else didn't need to be WRONG. I believe most religions have a common thread in them. A central Deity and others who serve that Deity. Christianity is the same. God and the angels (and us). Wicca doesn't really believe anything much different. We just call entities by different names. Where Christians may invoke angels to help, Wiccan invoke elemental spirits. What's the difference? I just add to the Wiccan that, above all other spirits that help us, God reigns supreme. My ideas are hard to explain sometimes. If you want, I can go into more detail. I don't mind sharing what I feel or believe as long as I'm not ridiculed. I know why Larry seems reluctant to share his faith - being shot down hurts, but I'll take my chances with you lot.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and thier families.
I hope anyone here that can donate will go out and give blood.
