Can anyone tell me the significance of this tag line in so many sigs? Its starting to show up in other places too...

Tracey started it, I adopted it, then Epona took it on... don't know who else has it...

Basically, a lot of US people were saying how great it was that Britain was supporting the war effort with such enthusiasm and elan.

We got fed up of this, pointing out that it is common knowledge in Britain that Blair governs by doing what he likes, when he likes, and he doesn't run stuff past the cabinet half the time, never mind those lesser mortals who sit on the back benches. And as for the electorate, - well, as with all politicians, our opinions become super important from about 4 months before the election to the day after.....

Troops were not sent to Afghanistan with my backing and approval, nor with that of many others. Hence 'NOT IN MY NAME! '
