Just curious if Baldurs Gate will come out with a 3rd chapter. Or IWD 3? not just an expansion.

Doubt it. Black Isle closed shop. Somebody else may pick up the title. Would be very cool indeed!

Arrow

You didn't hear this from me, but I heard Acclaim will buy the rights to the BG series. Anyone else? Even heard Rumors of a Baldurs Gate Movie. (Serious).

We'll just say we heard it from Choc .
Well, that would be great. It will be hard for any fantasy movie makers to compete with LoTR, effex wise. I have always wanted someone to do Dragonlance Chronicles as a movie.

I don't want more Baldur's Gate games, the story is over and there is nothing more to tell, what I'd love to see though is more games that use the infinity engine and happen elsewere in the Forgotten Realms, specially Sembia and Calishman... or even a Dragonlance game. And no IWD hack and slashfests but serious roleplaying, like Torment.

Agreed. I think the Infinity Engine is the by far best platform for PC RPG's and I would very much like for Bioware to return to it for their next game (after JE that is). I don't think these 3D engines they've been playing around with in NWN and KotOR are particularly suited for RPGs. Indeed I don't think either of their 3D RPGs even come close to comparing with the Baldur's Gate series.

I too would LOVE a Dragonlance game... Damn, it's been what? 12 years or so since the Dragonlance Goldbox games, and I LOVED those. The first GB game I ever played (on the Commie 64 was Death Knights of Krynn). Sigh... those were the good old days...
