I believe you also can't get a romance if you're a Dwarf, Gnome, or Halfling. Pretty clear indication of 'height bias' to me....
As for a Half-Orc with 18 CHA, It's my belief that there are various types of charisma. Apart from being attractive to the opposite (or same) sex, there's looking "honest," looking "smart," being cool-headed in a tight situation, skill in arguments, skill in flattery, good sense of humor, being a good writer (though this doesn't come into play in BG), being a good singer, etc. Just how difficult is it to write a patch for a romance? I've got some programming experience, though I doubt it'll be much help. I'd like to see a wider variety of romances, like Keldorn will go for a Human, Elf, or Half-Elf who's a Paladin or at least part Cleric.

i read some where that only humans and both type elves could get romances im not to sure about vicconia though she seems as tho she would go any type race tho i havent tested the theory
