Hi Mel!
I'm not sure if it was your eloquence or your education that had me thinking you were so much older. Funny thing, that about your father giving advice, I've run into the same sort of thing with my dad. I'll talk to him about something I'm trying to deal with, and I'll get an answer that has little or no bearing on my situation, or at least not on the approach I would take. He did tell me one thing once that I thought was pretty good, I was 21, had come into some money, and was going over what I'd like to do with it, which was mostly screwing around with my friends and partying.
He just said, "Remember one thing, the less time you spend screwing around with your life now, the less time you'll have to spend unscrewing it later."
