Well, I am playing a Blade_Bard now...

Aerie's on hold. Solo play is so... well... er... lonely... ...

... and at the present moment, he is Lvl 17, soon to be 18. He has one * in Bastard Swords, Katana and Mace, and three * in Dual-Wield.

While fighting a Stone Golem, I had him cast Melf's Minute Meteors, and I noted, the off-hand weapon also strikes?!?!

A +1 Katana in this case, good Bastard Swords and Katanas are rare in SoA... ... I intend to hit the Guarded Compound soon, I am not going into the Underdark with a +1 weapon!!!!

Anyway, this led to exciting possibilties, because while a Sorcerer and Mages can also do this, they cannot Dual-Wield effectively. Imagine! What if I have Crom Faeyr in my off-hand!!!! Although I am shooting from a range, the target still gets whacked invisibly by the Crom Faeyr! WahHAHAHAHA!!!! It is a 'throwable' Crom Faeyr! Then of course, there is also Celestial Fury, Flail of Ages, etc... ... all now usable as a ranged attack!

Also! Melf's Minute Meteors gives you 5 attacks per round, but wait! I am using a Blade! Turn on the offensive spin! Now it is 6 attacks per round! That roughly means 2 whacks with the off-hand per round.

Hee hee hee... ...

Blade is fast becoming one of my favourite kits, scratch that, it is one of my favourite kits already, and it is not because of this Melf's Minute Meteor loophole.

Since Blade is a Bard kit, that means, the Blade's THACO is not as good as a fighter, but wait! Bards can cast spells, and Tensor's Transformation completely nullifies that point.

Blades will never equal a Mage or Sorcerer in terms of casting power, but however, having a range from Lvl 1-6 is pretty decent, and more than enough for the Blade, since having more would be too unfair in my opinion.

Blades can have Stoneskin! Combine that with Defensive spin and beyond magical attacks, he/she becomes damn near unhurtable.

Screw the disadvantage of having a lousy Bard song, you will get the Enhanced Bard Song later on which is as good as the other kits, except maybe Jester's.

Screw the disadvantage of having half of normal pickpocketing and lore, compared to other kits, only other Bards can have more lore than you anyway, and Potions of Thievery plus the Gloves of Pickpocketing rarely fail me.

OMG!!!! I can lay Spike Traps later on! *drools... ...*

OMG!!!! I can use any items later on!!!! *hyperventilates*

the main reason why I chose to Dual-Wield with Bastard Swords, might consider Two-Handed Swords with max Two-Handed Weapon Style for you know what.

I can cast Mislead! Imagine the funky horror if the opponent has no True Sight, free hits for two minute!!!!

etc... ...

I am so happy with my Blade, Jack. He has what I love, spells, and has the ability to do efficient melee. I still love Sorcerer more, and Paladins, but now I have finally found a third kit that I can proudly say I enjoy using.

My final armour will be the Upgraded Bladesinger, that along with Protection from Magical Weapons, and my Blade will be singing, "Hit me baby one more time!". For four rounds at least anyway, then the Stoneskins will take over.

well thats qutie an effective loophole youve found there... but i do wonder if that will work throughout the entire game, of course...

------------------
It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

My favourite was Skald, blade was useless in my opinion. But in ToB you can gain the special ability of skald so you're right. Blade is GREAT (if ToB installed

one more thing I wonder,
what's the difference between bard's and fighter's thaco?
