Okay,
This may seem like a silly question, but it's something I've never quite understood. When people on here refer to a location being at, for example, x2475 y950, how do I know where that is?
I understand the principle of the x and y coordinates, but in reference to the location map, how are the numbers worked out? What is the maximum number on the x and y axis?
Can anyone help me out here? It would make life a lot simpler for me.

Keep your mouse coursor over the game area, then press the 'x' key and it will give you the coordinates the coursor is pointing to.

Works in both IWD1 and IWD2

Thanks ZFR,
I've been playing the BG and IW games for about 6 years now and had never discovered that. It's amazing what you learn!

Hi,
I have this same query again but with Baldur's Gate. I'm playing again and trying to work out some coordinates.
Can anyone help out? How do I find the x and y's in BG?

Vanilla BG1 uses the L key.
BGtutu uses the X key.
