Whats up with that thief that comes to tell about some grand heist he's planning? can you steal something from the mage? And really, those flesh golems suck! The thief said that they are too strong to be physically harmed, but my 3rd(or 4th) level fighter took them out single handedly! sometimes i dont understand this game...sigh

You can pickpocket Thalantyr for a Potion of FR and Mind Focusing. Hurrah.

Flesh Golems are immune to normal weapons - the thief propably didn't have a magical weapon

Flesh Golems are only easy if you use the right tactics (magical weapons are a must, using Poison also makes things a heck of a lot simpler) and are of a decent level before you try it--the Golems have a low enough THAC0 to punch through just about any armor the Sword Coast has to offer, and 2 of their hits will pulverize anyone with less than 30 hitpoints.

Of course, attacking them after you've turned them Neutral also makes things easier.

the easiest way to take out flesh golems is magic arrows. No matter what type of arrows you use you can knock out the golems a long time before they can reach you. I use this tactic for some quick xp in the coastal cave.

In reply for the question about the quest in BG. (poison one) the answer is yes and that it earns you a few exp points anyway. Statisfied?
