To make matters worse, they just moved the boards back there about 3 days ago.

Shurely we want far less posts. This will show that W&W players have a much higer IQ and are able to solve all the vexing problems in this extremely difficult and brain taxing game (cough cough) without forever rushing off to ask for clues. After all most posts here are plesant chit chat between highly intellegent human beings concerning a few minor problems that arise during play

(and if you believe that you will believe anything)

Ugh, the sales figures are more disturbing.. BGII outsold W&W by about 10 to 1, I believe. Oh well.. perhaps we can attribute that to the non compos mentis nature of the BG2 fanatics? Actually, just kidding there .. I enjoyed the first BG, but haven't picked up the second one yet.. why? Because it starts your characters on a level other than level 1! For me, the most fun part of the adventure is when you are weak, and insignificant, and barely able to tackle a kobold, let along an ancient red. In BG2, your characters start off with massive hit points, dozens of spells, etc.

This brings me to another interesting point; has anyone here played Dragon Warrior 4 for the original Nintendo Entertainment System? That game was, to me, like a succulent peach; its flavor bursting sweetly in my mouth as I savored its gaming goodness. What made it so special? The fact that you had the opportunity to lead FOUR individual characters, in separate lands, on separate adventures, all starting on level one, before finally uniting them for the grand finale. It was like an unexpected treasure trove! There I sat, into the wee hours, giggling giddily at the on-screen antics, while my peers were out with girls and stuff. In retrospect, that's a little pathetic. But, that does not derogate my case! If you haven't I strongly advise checking it out. You can grab the rom at freeroms and the emulator there, as well.

LOL!!!!

Now I really don't know what we should do. Not post to show how smart we all are, or post more to show how gregarious and witty we all are, or both to show how confused we are.

What I do want to know is how do you put in a url address and make it hyperlink (tell me Regis!!)
And how do you post a photo in here too?? (not that I have one to post but I'd like to know how)

Click on "help" at the top, it will give you a list of all of the commands for inserting URLs, pictures, etc.

Not surprised that BG has outsold W&W 10 to 1. Not sure how you buy computer software over there in our rebel colony but here in the UK most is actually sold in record and some specialist software shops. When you walk in the ganes due soon normally have about 20 to 30 empty boxes with comong soon stickers and then there will be a rack with 20 to 30 copies of the latest release followed by a rack with copies of the top ten selling game. Then come the shelves with the lesser known titles and the bargain boxes of games that have not sold (ultima online £2.99 about $2) All the Baldurs gate series have been prominently displayed with flyers extolling them scattered on the counter and have thus sold like hot cakes. W&W despite being a new release had only one copy on display amongst the also rans and when I brought it the sales assistant said that I was the first to enquire and buy the game. The reviews did not help but I never take any notice of them anyway.
The same happened to Cybermage also by DW and in some ways a much better game than W&W but I seem to be the only one who ever brought and played it. Had W&W come out before BG when there was a drought of good D&D games (Birthright and undermountain being absolute dogs) it would have received rave reviews and been a big seller as it was it was released when other good (or perceived good)games were out there and has suffered as a result. Also the will there wont there be a patch has probally hit sales.

I almost picked up Icewind (the box was such a pretty shade of blue and it was in your face everywhere). But some nice lady commented on WW (in my right hand) and started telling me about it. Boy, am I glad she did. I was about to use the family's tried and true solution solver . . . flip a quarter. There was no cheat guide in sight for this game but I try not to use them. Icewind guides where everywhere. Curious, when you count posts does replying to a thread count? At the risk of being booed I have BG I and II waiting if I EVER stop playing this game. If I do begin BG, do I start the posting with "How do i open the box?" and run up their numbers OR come over here and ask you guys questions to run up this site? PS thanks for all the game recommendations for Christmas I go to the store to check them out. This is the next best thing to actual gaming, especially with the forum.

Don't get me wrong, I like BG. But, they seem a bit "soul-less".. perhaps its my trepidation with the Infinity engine? After the ludicrously-re-spawning kobolds on the firewine bridge in BG, and the thugs in Torment, my joy for the engine was killed forever. I turned to Fallout, with NO respawn, (except on the World Map, where you actually faced INTERESTING encounters) and never looked back. Perhaps some day I can go back, but now, when I see those oval neon-green ellipses around characters in the infinity engine, I feel a grave nausea that can only be alleviated with a marathon session of Phantasy Star or Dragon Warrior true-turn-based action.
