Brangines' Holy Symbol
Description:

This short sword was the holy symbol of Brangines. It symbolized an ancient linerage. You can see the ancient craftmanship from the sword's design. The hilt part has two circle thing that one can put his hand in. The outline of the circles resembles the arms of a titan. This unique weapon was passed down since Arnael Brangine the First, as a symbol of rulership.

Though possibly aged thousands of years, it still has the terrible sharpness. It belonged to the ancient family named Brangine. The Brangines had been the rulers of some land back couple thousands years ago. The tales of the Brangines' bloodline were various, though the most amazing one believed, the Brangines were the branch of Titans.

"... back when the gods walked the prime plane as their mortal forms, seeking worshipers and believers, also bringing fire, knowledge and magic. There were another group back then, the Titans, which were the most powerful and civilized (though one may argue this point) creatures lived on the lands of Faerun. (with exceptions of Dragons of course, though Dragons tend to be solitary and avoid fighting with those gigantic grouped savages.) Most of the time, titans would bring in humans, sometimes other races, and force them working as slaves.
In the beginning, the gods and titans co-existed peacefully, and they both had enough tolerance over each other. However, as centuries pass by, more and more lower species (as titans call them) ran away and join the guidence of gods. Titans felt greatly offended, and the war broke out.

Some people sided with their slave lords, but most sided with the newcomers, the almighty gods. With newly enchanted weapons, those were blessed by the gods, and unimaginable destructive magic which was claimed to match the dragon's own, (brought by the god of magic) the war eventually favored the people who sided with the gods. It was then, seeing no hope to turn the tied of the war, a small group of titans gave up and escaped to the far east with their slaves, and resided on some islands of Sword Sea.

... the war was over and all the titans were then cursed, for daring to cross the gods. The curse was performed by all gods together, that titans share forever being trapped in the mortals' bodies, and never reclaim their power..."

I think Charisma should go up 3 and wisdom down two, like a real king or politician. And then again, maybe a short sword is better than a dagger here... Daggers are for cut throats and ladies.

Cool....

I would like to see a good basic long sword, like the long sword of a thousand points of light. that when you hit may do one of several things. Cast sunray, flamesquirt (or whatever it is), cause blindeness, etc. I think paladins, need some help in this game. Man are they dissed.. Need some offensive spells, but if oyu can't do that, how about a good shield and weapon combo. Like maybe when they are used together do they do soemthing special, but apart they drive you insane. he he...

nice idea, have you seen sword of one thousand souls? here is the stats:

Sword of one thousand souls
Description:

There was once an immensly powerful necromecor named Ariganda the Collector. He practiced a hellish rutiual that he believed could grant him power. Every full moon night, he would come out to the local villages and prey upon some strong men, and he'd suck the life forces out of his victims and imprison their souls with an artifact known as soul gem.
When a young paladin named Adam heard the dark tales about this devil necromcor, he determined to eliminate this evil. Then he went on the glory quest in searching for Ariganda. After days of traveling, he came to a cross road, waiting there was a hooded shadowy stranger. The stranger greeted young paladin and told the paladin:"I, the god of all wishes, can fullfill any desire that lays deep in your heart, be it wealth, conqour, or ... the owner of soul gem."
Adam was totally unaware that this stranger he greeted was the god of trickster. Being determined to eliminate evil and believing his strong faith would protect him from any harm, he accepted the offer, and told the stranger his desire. The next second, he was granted a magical sword that would counter the power of soul gem. Then Adam was teleported into Ariganda's secret hideout.
The forth coming battle was a devestating disastor, Ariganda wasn't aware the treachery that was being played on him. He called upon his soul gem, trying to suck the soul out of this paladin. Yet the sword itself was a cursed weapon, it hungered for souls. When the soul gem's presence was so close to it, it released fully its devestating power and drained away the energy of every living being around it. The soul gem shattered by the force of the strong gravitaion, and the necromecor was killed in the process. Even worse, it also sucked in the soul of Adam, and trap it forever in its sheath.
This sword then layed in waste for thousands of years, until it was rediscovered by an adventurering party from Water Deep. However, it was said that it was lost again in a battle against some powerful undead king.

Stats: (cursed)
type: long sword

dmg: 2d8 +3/+7 against living creature
creatures of the following type take no extra dmg, because either they are not entities of hosting souls or they are simply being manipulated by spirits. Such creatures are: undead, vampires, constructs, golems, demonoid, shadows.

Here is a sword I designed for Cloudbringer:

The Sword of the Purple Rose

The Great Bard of the High Court in Amn had commissioned a Mage to make a Sword for His Beloved Queen. She was the most skilled of all the fighters of the land. But during the making of the sword, a small, small Demon disrupted the spell. The Live Essence of the Bard, the Mage, and the Queen were trapped into the sword.

STATS:

Weapon: Short Sword
Type: Slashing
Damage: +3, +6 vs Evil, +10 vs Demons.
Bonuses: When Wielded, Skies Blacken, Lightening crashes down. The Wielder and Party is Protected from Evil on 10 Radius centered on Wielder. When hit, 15% chance 2d10 Electrical damage, 20% chance undead are turned, 50% chance Demons are banished from realm, and if on their plane, 10% chance to destroy, 5% chance on successful hit, enemy’s weapon will be polymorphed into Purple Roses and Enemy becomes Charmed by closes person not protected from evil. There is also a 25% chance when unsheathed, a Black Knight will come to your aid.

Usable by: Multiclass Bards and Mages only
