I reread through your previous thread, and it sounds like placing a few lower resistances in a spell trigger to be fired off on first sight of the dragon would make your life a lot easier. without lowering his resistance most of those spells you threw at him never phased him. Take away his resistance and all those fireballs, magic missiles and flame strikes would have destroyed him.

Also, I know he's just gonna annihilate your summoned creatures, but try summoning something a little more powerful than dire wolves, like elementals or djinns or nishruus, etc.

Hope this helps.

Another little trick you can use is to cast "magic resistance" on him. Since you have the wardstone (I am assuming) you can get close to him w/out him turning red. Then have aerie (if she is in you party???) cast magic resistance. A bug in the game allows for this to replace the dragons natural resistance with the lower spell cast resistance. This opens the dragon up to magic missile, acid arrow, flame arrow, etc...

The way I beat him was to summon monsters to take the brunt of the physical attacks and then have my players just run around and blast him with missile weapons and spells! I know it is a bit cheesy but it beats the hell out of going toe to toe with a dragon

I've got to admit it's getting better, it's getting better all the time

One problem.... none of my mages now lower resistance or can summon better creatures other than gnoll elites.

The quality of the summons is not vital, though it helps.

Their main purpose is to distract.

There are several tactics in the other thread already, you may want to go through them.
