OK, before I go through the trouble of grooming a multi or dual class cleric...

Is it true that a multi class cleric/(fighter type) can use swords and bows but a dual class cleric cannot??

If it is true then that really sucks.

Nope. No cleric can use bows, at least not in 2nd Edition. Don't know where you heard that, but it's not the case.

Blunt weapons (maces, flails, hammers, staves), and missile weapons are the weapons of choice for clerics.h All the "fighter" part will do will improve THAC0 and give you more proficiencies in each slot. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Another note:

Multiclassed Fighters can put 2 points into any weapon or weapon style, except Dual-Wielding, which can take 3 points.

DUAL-classed Fighters can put up to 5 points in any weapon, as long as the Fighter class is either Active or has been Reactivated.

The weapon restrictions of Clerics and Druids CANNOT be overcome, all other classes' can.
