I just saw Conan the Barbarian the other day and it was awsome!
- an epic plot - there were barbarians, thieves, magic, gladiators, witches, even a monk (well he was also a magician) - absolutely awesome soundtrack - it even had a healthly dose of sex Ok, your turn now... -----> Besides LOTR What other fantasy movies do you like and why?

My fav. is "The Princess Bride". It doesn't really fall into the fantasy category (almost) but "The Point" has gotta rate up there. "You don't have to have a point, to have a point."

Krull---sharp spining thing...a cyclops Beastmaster---ferrrets, wierdness, and good unarmed fights

I would have to agree with esquire. Both Conan movies are awesome. I also think Dragonheart was really good too.

The first Conan movie was bloody awesome. Written by John Milius (guy who did Red Dawn) and Oliver Stone (everyone knows who he is).
The second Conan sucked imo. |

The Princess Bride is a great movie! I've watch it so many times!
My favourite fantasy movie (excluding LOTR ) would have to be Willow. It's one of my favourite movies of all time. I've watched it over 50 times! [ 01-23-2003, 03:38 AM: Message edited by: GokuZool ] |

The first two LotR movies followed by
The Princess Bride 13th Warrior Dragonheart ...can't believe I forgot that one Willow Shrek Being a fan of the Conan books I just can't watch the movies and enjoy them. They raped about 10 different Conan stories and mashed them together for the first movie. Then did the same with the second movie. They made Thusla Doom into a wimp! Oooh ahh "Now they will learn why the fear the night" and what does he do? Straightens out a snake and uses it for an arrow. Cripes! That was when he was supposed to call up the dead and have them attack. [ 01-23-2003, 01:29 PM: Message edited by: Wulfere ] |

Dragonheart, First Knight, Lord of the Rings (Fellowship+TT) and the 13th Warrior.
All of the above have certain scenes you just 'keep' watching.. |
