Is it wrong that I don't care about any of this?

I completely agree, however I just don't like the generalization that states no matter what I am, I must be fat and lazy to eat/enjoy fast food.

Hivetyrant, it's slightly better for us here in Australia. I don't think they do the whole ammonia thing with our meat.

I personally can't stand the taste of most fast foods, especially McDonalds. They use so much grease that I feel horrible afterwards. I agree that getting meat from butchers is much better, because you know it is fresh, and it tastes better.

Venison is also a good route too IMO (and tastier than beef).
Agreed on both accounts. I deferred from the venison as we do have some faultfinders here among us. Speaking of which, snow storm headed in tomorrow, looks like a good time to slow cook a pot of venison chili.

McDonald's is terrible. Burger King is even worse.

That is all.

MMMM venison. I also still enjoy free-range bison on occassion. No faultfinding here.

I was "raised" so to speak on Mcdonalds and later grew to love me a whopper. But like TL said, once I hit mid-30s and plus quit smoking my metabolism wouldn't take it any more. Now I have lbs to lose and cholesteral to decrease so this news about the gross additive I'm taking as positive reinforcment of my lifestyle changes.

Free range bison, eh? I can get two cuts of that here at the commissary, but it's frozen, small packages, and expensive.

Do you have a certain recipe you prefer?
