If HOW works on my computer, will IWD2?

Most likely, we'd need to know your PC specs to know for sure, but here's the minimum specs for the games courtesy of Mobygames.com

Icewind Dale HOW minimum specs required:

Minimum CPU Class Required Pentium II
Minimum OS Class Required Windows 95
Minimum RAM Required 64 MB
Minimum CD-ROM Drive Speed Required 4X
Input Devices Supported Keyboard, Mouse
Multiplayer Options Internet (TCP/IP), LAN

Minimum RAM Required 64 MB

You should be fine, providing your CPU is fast enough and that you have a reasonable 3D card.
I ran IWD2 on my AMD 800 with 256 megs of RAM and my ol' dodgy onboard 4mb video card just fine a couple of years ago. Bigger battles were a little difficult times, but I finished it eventually. [img]smile.gif[/img]

IWD2 runs acceptably on my ancient PII-233 with 192Mb RAM and a 16Mb TNT2 card. It's not as smooth as BG1 or IWD1 though.
