This is another recruitment thread for Empire Quest. For those of you who don't know what Empire Quest (or EQ for short) is, and that will be most of you, I'll give a short description. Empire Quest is a free online game with a futuristic setting. You start out with a homeworld somewhere in space, and through mines and probes you can gain resources. These resources are used to create buildings, build fleets and defences and create more mines and probes. As the game progresses, you'll be in a position to conquer new worlds or simply inhabit uninhabited colonies. The aim is to getas high a score as you can, either on personal note or for your galaxy or alliance, the galaxy being the system of 27 planets you are in. Once you join, you'll be under protection for a good number of turns, which means you cannot be attacked at first. This is to give you a chance to grow strong enough to defend yourself. You can also join an alliance. An alliance is simply that, a group of different players with overlapping beliefs. Members of an alliance provide protection and financial support, and someone to chat with. We have created an alliance called the 'IW alliance', and we'd like all of you to join us. The game is split up in turns, each lasting roughly 30 minutes. The only requirement is that you log in once a week or your account will be deleted. You can, however, put your account on vacation mode if you're gone for a long time. It's a lot of fun and hardly takes any time, you simply need to pop in and give orders every once in a while. If you want to be a world controller, and you can spare some time, maybe you can join: The IW alliance. Please? In my opinion, UO is better, but I still play EQ..
