Alien especially part 3, Starwars, all four movies was great.
I like almost everything related to science fiction, also the b-movies. David Lynch has also made som very good movies f.x. "Wild at hart" and "Blue velvet". Though I also like the "sweet movies" like "When Harry meet Sally" and Babe ( the one with the pig). |

At present in the UK there is a poll on Channel 4 of the 100 greatest movies of all time. So far they have gone from 100-40 and they are doing the top 40 tonight. I will update you all as to what the British public considers are the top 5 films ever made.
My personal faves are: Shawshank Redemption, Life of Brian, American Beauty, LA Confidential,

It's not really my favorite, but the wife and I just took the kids to see "Harry Potter", and it was great. Definately the best family movie we've gone to the theater to see together.

The votes are in! Apparently the greatest film of all time according to the British public is Star Wars. The Godfather Part 1 comes second. I can't remember what was third (might have been Wonderful Life) but Shawshank Redemption was fourth.
Gladiator was 6th, Matrix was 8th. Life of Brian was 23rd - what happened there!!!!!!! LA Confidential was about 15th, something like that. Terminator was 98th, something has seriously gone wrond with that one.

I liked the Godfather movies, even though they could've been better. A little more authenticity wouldn't have gone amiss, and they could've used more real Italian actors, but a great set of films nonetheless. It really does take a whole day to see everything though, but it's worth it, in my view
