Armour class

What is the best armour class you guys have got with your chars??
Mine is -15 with Shruppuks plate, pale green loun stone, ring of earth control, gaxx, and the shield of the order +4.

By the way, what is the best thaco anyone has got?
Mine is -12 or -14 i think
All of this is with my lvl 25 fighter (me)

My Archer had -24 THACO... ... I might as well add a laser targeter to his Heartseeker just for kicks.

Level 34 Archer, Robin Hood... ... so base THACO is 0.

Kit advantages: -1 THACO every 3 levels until level 18, -1 THACO every 5 levels after that... ...

So that's -9 THACO there... ...

Grandmastery in Long Bows.

Another -3 THACO there... ...

Bracers of Archery.

Another -2 THACO there... ...

Heartseeker +3.

Another -3 THACO there... ...

Girdle of Fire Giant Strength.

Another -4 THACO there... ...

Pale Green Ioun Stone.

Another -1 THACO there... ...

Hmmmm... ... odd, that is only -22 THACO, I forgot where the other -2 THACO comes from.

I think the reason for the other 2 points of THAC0 is that the Heartseeker is a composite longbow, so you get a +2 THAC0 bonus with it even before the +3 enchantment level.

Heartseeker is a Composite Long Bow? I do not think so, but I think I know where I got the other -2 THACO, Robin Hood had 18 DEX, another -2 to his hit roll, not sure whether that is referring to THACO.

I may be a bit confused but I seem recall that strength does not affect THAC0 or damage when using missile weapons, and the to hit rolls are only altered by dexterity? (19 dex gives my elven archer bonus +3 to hit) Can anyone confirm this?

Jim--

Strength affects missile damage in the case of a composite longbow. Dexterity is what affects the Thaco of missile damage (if it is high enough, of course.)
