This question has probably been asked before; so, excuse the repitition. I would appreciate information on whether there are any good single-player modules. If so, where do I find them?
Also, is it possible to use your character from the game in: (1) single-player modules; or (2) online, multiplayer modules? Thanks all. |

Yes, just use the 'save character' button. Its right next to the Save and Load options..

Lord Ed-
There is absolutely no difference between a single-player game and a multi-player game in NWN. The saves you have can be loaded in single- or multi-player at any time...and by using "Save Character" you can transfer an exact copy of your PC at the point of a particular save or in the middle of a mod, and use him in a multiplyaer game. Then, if you wanted to use the developed character and put him back in your single-player game, just load the previous save under Multiplayer and import your newly saved PCinto the game to override the old, outdate version of your PC who is in the game save. Hope this helps!

its technically always a multiplayer game, no diff in the game type, if you notice on "single player" it says "non p v p area" which means if there were other people they cant pkill you in that area, its designed to be both at once really. Obviously if someone else does a quest in your game which you havent already then it closes off to you and you'd need to either join their party for the rewards or go to another game to access it.

Here is where to go to veiw and download new adventures, haks and just about anything else you might want for NWN. This is all of the mods available at the site. But, you might want to click on "Top Rated" at the top of the list.
I personally like the Penultima series of mods. They are humorous. But there are a number of other mods. You might also download Chewies mod "Dark Days The Beginning BETA v0.6". Just downlaod the mod you want then extract the file to your NWN/modules folder and start the game. Choose Play - New - Other Modules and choose the module from the list. You can start a new character or choose a pregenrated character you have saved using the "save character" option discussed above. Then you are off. There are some 1700 mods out there at last count. http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules/moduleslist2.shtml |
