I have a laptop computer on which I USED to play Championship manager on. The laptop has windows xp and decided it didn't like to play the game anymore. I downloaded all the patches and phoned the helpline but nothing.

is there anyway of connecting together the laptop and my desktop PC with a lead or cable so i can transfer the files?

THANKS

Theres a couple of ways you can do it... the first is what theifprowess said, set up a Local Area Network, and transfer the necesary files using it.
The second is far simpler, but more restricting in terms of how much you can transfer at once. It is quite simply to email yourself. Open your email program on the comp the files are on, attach them, and send the email to yourself. Then go to the computer you want them on, open your email and download them.

not bad idea either but if the file size is to big you would have to use a lan anyways, besides no computer should be without a Network Interface Card

Well Barb, I don't know if you have a website or not, but I do, and I often have to transfer things between the computers and the best way to do it is to upload the files to your site from your laptop, then download them to your desktop PC.
