Well all I can say in our defence is that we were the only 3 people on the forum when it started. It was very slow, and there was a desperate need for livening things up. We each lived in vastly different parts of the world, all on dial-up. We were all trying to get something started, and our brains and hands were moving faster than the speed of the internet. One person would agree with another before the last one could contribute a different idea.

Thus was born the O.R.T.

What is a pity, is that the thread itself doesn't capture all the by-play on other threads where people would want to post on another topic and one of the ORT thought police would jump on them and banter with how the forum was hostage and they weren't allowed to post except in negotiation on the main thread . It was the outsiders that co-operated and joined the main thread that made it get to 13 pages and gave the ORT a life beyond that.

Hmmm - no concrete bids for Cloudy's embarrassing warbles - looks like you are saved Cloudlet (this time at least ).

Hahah.. Davros, I think my 'embarrassing warbles' might not be worth much on the open market these days!

Actually, I quite enjoyed the Fluffy Wars and the thread about the competition to marry Silver Cheetah and Tracey. But above all, there once existed an awesome thread that nowadays must only be known as "The Thread That Dare Not Speak It's Name"

Ooh, was that LoA's one?
Not sure exactly who started it - possibly Memnoch, but it very quickly spiralled of into a surreal and quite amazing demonstration of the creative use of a certain swearword....

I am pretty sure it was LoA that started it. Surely it wasn't the flaming geenie - just not his style .

"Can I drill you for that?"

Let's not forget the (in)famous thread of Phil McCavity. The most short-lived member of all times.
