No cigarettes, open flames, or sparks were found near either Jeannie Saffin or Phyllis Newcombe; but it's not scientifically permissible to conclude that their combustions were spontaneous. Maybe they were; but just because we didn't find the cause hardly means that there wasn't one.

So... is Schroendinger's cat dead?

Look, spontaneous combustion does not exist. Be it magnetic or chemical, something always is found to have ignited the flame. Just because a cause is not known does not mean it wasn't present.

Speaking of magnetic: Did you know that only one high tide is caused by the Moon's gravity, and the other is caused by the Earth's inverse relation to said gravity? Does this relate to the discussion? Probably not.

In short, the scientific answer to the issue is, in the alleged cases of spontaneous combustion, we simply do not know what caused the ignition. However, in light of what we know about such reactions, there is no reason to presume there was not a cause.

It would not be conventional burning of gases because they burn hot, with a fair bit of heat. Whereas this is a cold or warm "burning" that is not hot enough to damage furniture.

Lee Harvey Oswald did it!

backed by cuban cigar importers.

The proof is that no Cuban cigar has ever been found at the scene
