Ours neighborhood mockingbird must have been hanging out in the barrio this week!
He (it?) has added "La Cucaracha" to its song. [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Sounds to me like it came from a low-rider's horn.

Maybe it came over from the Netherlands. La Cucaracha is a song that bursts out of the stadiumspeakers whenever my hometown footballteam scores a goal.

Doesn't La Cucaracha mean "the roach" or something? I remember so little of my Spanish classes in high school, so I don't know, just going on what I heard once, somewhere....?

I'm ROFL at the American Idol response to his choice of tunes! johnny, too funny! Maybe! I've been watching U of A basketball and every time they score a wildcat roars. I'd like to slip la cucaracha in there one time ad watch the reactions LOL! As for our neighborhood mockingbird - I think I'm going to try to teach him the first couple of lines to "I've been working on the railroad". [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]
