I'm currently a user of MS Office XP, and saw that a new version, Office 2003, is now out. Does anyone know if this is a completely overhaul, like say, Office XP is to Office 98? Or is it just an upgraded version of XP, with some improvements, but nothing major?
I'm a major user of three of the four programs it comes with (Outlook, Word & Excel), and am wondering if it's worth the upgrade. Any information is greatly appreciated. Regards, Michael |

I had to go out and buy MS office recently for school. It came with MS Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and Excel. While I don't see much difference in the way the programs run compared to 98, there are a few little extra things. Don't think its worth the 150$ i payed for it though

I don't think M$ products are ever worth the price you pay... not that they are bad (well, they are actually, why do we have to update it every 2 seconds?) they are just ridicilously overpriced... People wonder why there is big market for piracy, just look at the pricetag on some of those things.
I'm pretty sure if they lowered their prices, they would actually make more money... (as if they need to...) because lot more people would rather pay for a legal copy than getting it illegally. |

You would be supprised about the hidden value in something such as word XP. Although I am shure i will never have a use for all the features but for some people they are there if they want them.
