I now have my Oomphaz priest who can bless at level 12. I am told that is the highest level. I hear about people (on this board) with weapons doing 40+ points of damage... HOW? I cant get nearly that much.... What am I missing here?

Hey MockHuman! I guess it depends on your weapon, your skill and stats like that. You can also use spells and potions to increase hit damage. There is a thread that refers to doing all that damage. I will try to find it and bump it for you, then I'll come back and tell you which one it is, providing I find it.

MockHuman, you need to use the weapons you get on the Brimloch Roon map. The Tomonari Katara, the Nightblade, the Robinsword, the Sword of Hearts can all be blessed up to 40+ damage, if you bless them to the max. Even higher after your Zenmaster hits lvl 18 and can get the Enlightenment (=+2 to every skill) trait -hopefully he/she will be your Blessing specialist. With 14 blessings - which costs the earth - the Wizard's Blade will end up with 70 damage.

I found the best way of doing really HUGE damage is to use the Cloak of Night trait. Hiding in the shadows really helps those damage stats; with a Tomanari Katana in one hand and a Wakizashi in the other, both blessed to +10 damage, my lead character was regularly dealing out 180-200+ damage on some of those ugly critturs in the Pyramid, killing many of them before the others even had a go. The blessed up Wizard's Blade was even more lethal when the attack was made from the shadows, too. I kept my characters cloaked most of the time after they got the trait.

This really speeded up killing Cet, too, though the Cloak of Night only lasted about two rounds, then a turn was lost while invoking it again.
