^ Yep. As suggested higher up in this thread, there was discussion in the former Baldurdash forum on converting Tanova to 'undead', but frankly such a move would be far too prone to exploitation (as though it isn't enough already).

The next edition of Baldurdash (if it ever is to happen) would be better off concentrating on preventing a host of munchkinism relating to certain higher level mage spells, removing select green scrolls, and dealing in an appropriate manner with the pickpocketing skill.

Well, she's not a vampire (although classified as one, judging from her immunities and such she's not) so what the hell is she doing in a nest full of vampires? If there's not a really good explanation for her appearance there ("Tanova is Bodhi's best penpal from Waterdeep!") I have absolutely no sympathy for those who wish her to remain unchanged.

Would you be willing to elaborate a little on the munchkinism you're talking about, Cam_H? I'm more than interested to discuss some of it. That is, if it hasn't been discussed to endless lengths already

If I'm not mistaken (which is, of course, a possibility) Baldurdash is officialy dead, but there have been ideas of resurrecting the concept, i.e. they're busy with making a new fixpack so freshly encountered bugs will be dealt with.

She's already undead in my game. o.O

I mean, when I killed her with Azuredge, I got the little "Undead Destroyed" message that comes up whenever that effect works o.o

Hey, could you give me a link or something to where I can find out more or get in touch with the guys behind that?

I would like to help contribute, I have some experience making fixes for BG2.

Some one has to stick up for poor Haer Dalis who keeps getting his tiefling resistances screwed over from previous "fixes".

Shadowkeeper says every version of Tanova is a vampire. Even when her class is conjurer, her race is vampire.

@ GoblinZ and Neo the Warrior Cat,

Sorry, but your experiences differ radically from mine. I can envisage the (unlikely) possibility of a buffed and invisible fighter-type getting a critical hit on Tanova with Azuredge to take her out with physical damage before her buffs happen to come up, but in my experience I have never seen or heard of this insta-slay effect on Tanova due to her alleged undead status until reading this thread. In my game she shows plenty of evidence of not taking damage that would otherwise affect creatures with undead status. I’m really not sure how much more I can add.

@ Link

I was thinking of misuse of Project Image, Mislead, and Simulacrum, but there are a horde of other high level mage spell abuses available (e.g. Spell Trap abuse) and indeed even low level mage spell abuses (e.g. Lower Resistance). Indeed, you need only look to the “What is so great about Sorcerers?” thread for such munchkinisms at http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cg...c;f=2;t=025206
Credit to the authors of the various Tactics components to try and overcome cheese, but unfortunately rather than combating cheese, the bulk of the Tactics fights actually and ironically force the player into adopting 'higher levels' of cheese. It’s really a ‘can of worms’ discussion that might not appropriately belong in this thread, so I’ll shut up about mage spell abuse strategies. But nonetheless thanks for asking.

@ Illumina

Yes - and as a result it would seem that this allows her to cast Domination and attack with a Level Drain effect. Curiously it seems to me that by adopting a mage kit (Shadow Keeper has it as Conjurer, Infinity Explorer has it as Abjurer, but neither make total sense as she casts spells from the opposite schools of both kits {Stoneskin and True Sight for instance}) she has foregone her 'undead' status.
