This is just a thread to post what errors or troubles you have experienced when updating to Service Pack 2 for Windows.

1. Pop-up stopper and Sound Blaster start-up splash screens are slower.
2. Broadband Network (Router) had to be updated for functionality.
3. Links were alphabatized.

That's it so far.

thank goodness I'm on linux BTW I was watching the errors list and did I understand correctly that except for a few everything was an 'error' cause of the firewall that would be implemented? Doesn't seem like an error to me just configuration of your stuff

My people have been running into some of the strangest things since SP2 was distributed.

1. Inability to authenticate on recognized remote domains.

2. Various slowing in graphic rendering.

3. The usual, random crashes seem more abundant.

The hardest part is recognizing how much of this is SP2, Windows in general, and my imagination...

Personally, I'm going to wait a month or two before deciding whether to update or not. Atm, as I have a firewall, anti-virus, two pop-up stoppers and a couple of malware cleaners installed and regularly updated, I really don't see what I need SP2 for.

Well Im with Mouse, Im just gona sit it out and wait for a while. There is no real need for me to get it now since I have a hardware firewall and 2 software firewalls, 2 malware cleaners and popup blocker etc. Might aswell wait till all the bugs are ironed out.

If you have any Symantec Software then this page will give you a little idea of what it may do to you.

http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/sp2/faq.html

Other than that I'm going to wait a month or so until the bugs are ironed out.
