See my sig? How hard would it be to take the Memnoch part out of it, leaving the genie, and replace it with something else? I've been having a play around with it in GIF Animator 5 and can't work out how to do it. My animated gif has 8 frames I think. Do I need to change each frame?

I'm not planning to change my name by the way, I'm just curious as to how to do it.

Well who desinged it for you? They should be able to do it.

Are all the letters of MEMNOCH seperate? Or is that just one piece of it?

The person who designed it for me is no longer active here, alas - he was named Slackerboy. Basically the genie is a gif extracted from BG2 using IEEP, and the name MEMNOCH is a text image created in GIF ANIMATOR,so yes the letters are separate.

I am not a graphics wiz but it would not be that difficult to take the words out. You more than likely will need to do each frame separately. Unless you have a file such as .png file lying around were the genie and text are recognized as separate objects. I think when the file is made into a gif only the frames are considered separate.

Would be easier to start with the plain animation again and add the text after, as opposed to removing the text.

Spirits, if you could do it for me, you'd be a legend. I've checked it out in Gif Animator and can't work it out...

Well, here you go.

Tell me if you want something added to it.
Its a fairly simple process if you have the original file, but it doesnt seem like you do, I went through and did this frame by frame, but it wasnt difficult, and it was when I was just finishing that Lennon assured me that I could just extract the image using Near Infinity or something, but here you go, I hope you wanted it done.

It is very easy to do
all you need is a gif animator and MS Paint

here:

This shows what it was like before and after isolation for each frame:

if you want to put something new in it, all you have to do is save the gif open it in the animator and then make something in paint that you want the geneie to walk across. Once you've done this, you just paste each genie onto the text and keep the transparency set to white, and make 11 new frames, past them back into the gif animator, and you're set.

Here's an example of the genie goes to malibu:
