What are the negatives to becoming the Slayer, I finished SoA without ever becoming the slayer, but I want to know if I missed something. Tell me about your experience with the Slayer

losing reputation points...
I ran a Kensai-Mage (10/21) with TOB installed, so no XP cap. I never turned into the Slayer because I was a capable fighter with a spell arsenal of doom. I suppose casting time stop, then morphing into the Slayer could be fun... |

Aside from losing your reputation points everytime U morphed, yer attributes are all maxed out during the duration of becoming the Slayer. oldbittercraig's idea of time stopping and then morphing into one is rather fascinating when U're surrounded by thugs or critters. The Slayer is pretty helpful against some of the more difficult enemies in the game. I was having trouble with Kangaxx, and I hadn't thought of blocking his imprisonment with protection from magic abjuration, so I just beat his demilich form to death with the slayer, who is totally immune to imprisonment.
Also I killed the Red Dragon with the Slayer alone.. no help at all. Quite the sight. |

If I am not mistaken, the only way to leave the mindflayer dungeon is to turn into the slayer to open the door to the elder brain's room and then to kill it. So even if you don't want to, you have to turn into your other "BaD" self to get out.

no, if there is a mind flayer in your group, you can open door normally. may have to pick it. Also, barbarian with girdle of frost giant strength and barbarian rage should be able to open the door.
