I bought a pitcher with what looks like a spider face on it from Erdane. It has no info on it at all, what is it for?

The guy at the Durlag Tower. He stands near where you enter the map. He sells things and you can donate to him like a temple.

Is it like the pitcher with ale which you have to bring to the captain in BG city? I remember seeing this pitcher in many places where it was not needed and believed it is there just for decoration (or an unfinished quest?). Though if i remember correctly they always had a description; the fact that yours doesnt could be a bug?
