As much as I'd like to answer this post with a simple smiley, my honor demands me to respond.. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
As you've noticed, time moves backwards here. What happened will not yet happen, and what will happen, has already happened... just not for you. So, the objective of the magma chamber is a fight at the end against the H.S.I., which is a race against the clock for some. Just go around, talk to everybody, several times even... Eventually, you'll get out of it... and be hit with an even bigger question mark

When you've done everything you're supposed to, the boatman will take you to the exit to the next section (or day). Until then, that option doesn't appear when you talk to him.
You haven't mentioned whether or not you just arrived. If so, then when you get to the exit, you have to kill the beholder to proceed. |
