Oh, so we are now including battle exploits/cheese as glitches?

Well then, don't forget multiple static charges + invisibility.

Cool!

I'm not a great spell combiner but i think i'll experiment this time. The druid one may not be possible for my F/M/C but the static charge one may be implementable. How is it done and what are the benefits?

I'm warning you, it's about the cheesiest thing you can do in combat. However, it is limited to druids and ranger/clerics, which are the only classes that have access to Static Charge.

It goes like this. Memorize as many Static Charges as you have 4th lvl slots. Cast them all. Go invisible by spell or by potion. Walk near your enemies. They won't be able to see you, but the static charges will go off with their usual regularity. As soon as all the nearby enemies are dead, move on to the next ones.

A related exploit is usable by priests, I believe. Sanctuary + Circle of Bones or Blade Barrier should work - but you have to be standing right next to your enemies before casting the CoB or BB.

Take heed that Circle of Bones and/or Blade Barrier start to lose their value on higher difficulties, as the HP of your opponents will be considerably beefed up. Should you attempt this exploit on HoF mode... Well... let us just say that the spell will long expire before it kills anything.

Static Charge however, retains its' value due to its' high damage. The only problem is that it only triggers once per turn( where one turn is 70s in IWD), so unless you have about 4-5 Static Charges going, the killing process is going to be excruciatingly slow.

The Static Charge works even better in the outdoors, because you can cast its' sister spell, Call Lightning as well. Feel the joy as electricity zaps everything in sight.

Not really. While invis/static charge or sanctuary/circles of bones combos are very cheesy, technically they aren't against the rules. Just an oversight on designers part and poor computer AI (if an intelligent creature would see static charge going off out of nowhere he wouldve tried to dispel invisibility).

But the dispel magic bringing back weapons for shapshifters is a bug and is against the rules. The designers did admit that in BG2, but the thing is hard-coded and really diufficult to correct with a patch.

Cool Dude

I found a bug last night, but more important -- how to fix it. I remembered that it happened in the past and I did a re-install to fix it, but this is better:

Just delete the files in the temporary game cache!

The bug: after entering Kuldahar -- you can't go into any of the buildings without the computer giving you a BSOD (black screen of death - in this case.)

This fix might help other strange happenings as well, so keep it in mind. Note that I have TotL installed and some of Tioma's Ease of Use Pack installs {1-6 but not 7 and 8.}
