A couple of questions

Does anyone know:

1) If in a six member party one member gets to the experience cap, are subsequent experience then divided among the remaining five party members who have not "capped" or are they still divided among all six?

2) I've been playing around with some "cheats." If you want to up the experience on a multi-class character like Jaheira or Aerie what do you do? The usual CLUACONSOLE thing doesn't seem to work on multi-class.

Yup. One sixth of the XP gets wasted. Removing the XP xap should solve that

With a multi-class, when you enter an experience amount it is halved to your two respective classes, with a triple class is it divided by three. I'm not sure if it is an even divide though.
