I seem to be stuck at the bottom of the chute in the snake temple (pull the lever and jump to avoid crushing damamge...). I get to the bottom then all I can seem to do is spin round and round. Am I missing something?

Reset the game. It sounds like you got caught on a surface. Happens sometimes in 3d games.

Here are a couple of ideas on getting past the Spinning Elevator Chute Bug.

Go looking for an encounter with a priest and then come back after the fight and enter the trap door room (this seems to set a 'flag' in the game). You might also try exiting the temple and re-entering to clear/reload the dungeon data.
Or select your shortest character and jump up immediately after clicking on the lever and continue jumping until you land in the Naga area. It may take a few times until you make it through.

Welcome to the board, trekdawg!!!

This particular bug has happened to many players - try using your smallest character and the tips already posted. If none of these work an alternative would be for you to send me a zipped copy of your gamexx.sav and let me see if I can get them through on my machine. I've done that for many players!

Thanks for the advice y'all, but none of it worked for me. Wyvern, I guess you'll be getting some email from me shortly.
