The only reason I made this thread was that while I don't really worry about people disliking me on here, and I will continue to make sarcastic comments (sorry, hard to break habbit ), I do wanna know if I'm stepping over the mark....so I'm giving people a chance to tell me if I need to change and giving them a chance to point out all my mistakes and I won't be offended. I thought people would jump at the chance and starting listing things...

It happens to lots of people. You can't please all the people all of the time and so many are ready to judge

So, come on, out with it...am I really that bad? Here is your chance to tell me....I won't be offended in the slightest, although I will take it into account and maybe try and act differently. Then again you can just tell me to piss off and say this is a stupid thread to make...I don't mind either way

When I first met you on Valhalla, I thought so, but I soon got used to you . You just have a strong way of putting things

I have no problem with your sarcasm Vaskev. Of course I am known as the sarcastic b***ard at school, (Just ask blind, black dragon or Pablo) so naturally I wouldn't.

You don't need to change man. When you're around so many sugar coated messages at IW, (I'm not complaining mind you.) a sour one is much appreciated at times. Perhaps someday i'll get the courage to join you in your neverending quest for sarcasm. Nah i'll leave it to you...

Vaskez...

I've always thought of you as being nothing more than opinionated. FOr many of us, sarcasm is just a way of "lightneing" the mood when we're trying to make a point.

Since I've been gone awhile, folks are treating me nice, and remembering me as a nice guy. BUT, I can be, and have been an thought of as an @$$hole on this board. I tend to be rather politically INcorrect.

On the other hand, even when I raise eyebrows, I've always noticed the friendships and relationships here. I've missed everyone... and some folks think this is just a board...

Be yourself, and be proud. Of course, be willing to eat crow when you must. When you've offended someone specific, aopologize. ALWAYS. (Man, I've had to do my share)

just my $00.02

In this case I can honestly say I have nothing to apoligise for. Anyway you're right I am opinionated. And a hard-headed bastard and stubborn and many other bad things which have nothing to do with this forum but I tend to keep it under control, just wanted to know if others thought I let my bad side show too much

OK Vaskez,

Here's an honost, un-sugarcoated response for you.

I would guess the e-mail you got was in regards to your Post in Avatars' farewell thread. I have to admit that it hit me the wrong way too.

First, you accused Avatar of just wanting attention when other members had already said they knew his reason for leaving and that it was legitimate. THEN you said that Avatar didn't deserve to be treated with consideration unless he Posted his reason for leaving for ALL to see.

Telling another member that they don't deserve consideration because they don't share a personal decision with 5000 strangers is definitely stepping over the line (IMHO).

On the other hand, this is the ONLY Post I've seen from you that I had any problem with. I agree with RudeDawg....don't change, but be willing to eat some crow if you get carried away.

I, too, have made sarcastic comments that were meant in jest but were NOT taken that way at all. I find that crow tastes best when eaten quickly.

Actually, he wouldn't. He's smart. Doing that is against the ToS.

But as to the question at hand... nah Vaskez, I've never taken you too seriously, but then, if you really DO mean it sometimes, you're out of luck because I've got "grain of salt' mode going when I read your posts. And I agree with what Melusine posted for the most part.

Now to the rest of you dissing the person(s) who emailed Vaskez. Shame on you! That's what PRIVATE mail and messages are for. That person obviously had some problem(s) and took them to the source instead of grinding an axe on the board in some potentially unpleasant flamebait/war. He/she made their opinions known to the person they were having trouble with. And it IS Vaskez's business with that person, not ours. (and no, for those of you who are already speculating.. it was not me! )

Anyway, Vaskez, you have a very 'scratchy'style of posting and I'll admit on a number of occasions I felt a wee bit abraded by that style of yours, but I usually answered with honey.. sweetened your responses right up, hehe! So I'm not complaining.
