I've decided to spend AUD$90 on a game and I can't decide between the two above. Anyone played either of them and care to give me an opinion?

Cannot help you as I have only heard of these games. But Red Alert is a sequel in the Command & Conquer series, isn't it ? Have you played the other C&C games ?

But 90 AUD ? Does anyone know the exchange rate between AUD and $ ? I think 90 AUD would translate to around 110 German Marks and that would mean that games in Australia are about 20-25% more expensive than in Germany. And that without the special costs for translation ?

Hmm, well I have played both and I didn´t like Red Alert, more of a Star Craff fan, but Fallout BROS is good, more groupbased combat. Lotsa fun, you can do all thoose things you couldn´t do in Fallout 1 and 2, decide what your followers should and shouldn´t do. True to the bone too. I liked the demo alot. Red Alert though is still another Industrial warfare system with new units, the same basics. Booring... IMHO, I know there are alot of Red Alert fans out there so please, don´t try to flame my tail..

But BROS is way cooler!

You’re telling me. That’s the minimum price of a new game here. On the other hand HOW was selling for AUD $29 ($14 US).

Memmy,

just trying to understand the currency rates here, but if 90 AUD = $45, which is about £30, then Australian prices are comparable with British ones, and you get all that extra shipping, so think yourself lucky!

I was operating under the wrong assumption that the exchange rate between AUD$ and Mark was about 1:1,3, but if AUD $29 equals US $ 14, the rate would actually be much closer to 1:1 and since brand new games cost between 80 and 90 marks the prices are apparently quite comparable.
