Well, for turn-based, non-RPG games that are still fantasy, there's the Heroes of Might and Magic series (avoid IV, but II and III are excellent).

How about Might & Magic? I've never played it, but I seem to recall it's RPG and at least as turn-based as the BlackIsle games. I don't know if you can play online, though.

The MM games are turn-based CRPGs, but not on-line, although the new one coming out is, I believe. You'd have to wait for that one to arrive.

A great way to spend some of that time at night...

Game developpers have decided we don't like turn based games anymore, so you'll have a hard time finding any.

You would have more luck with strategy games than rpgs. For example Civilisation 4 is turn based and can be played in multiplayer.
