I'm sure Donut will agree with me, but this was part of the 'good old days'

I grew up in a developing neighborhood. Contruction yards are instant play grounds for little boys! We never were short of building materiel for any ramps or bike/skate courses! Or Forts for that matter! In the summers, we'd play Jailbreak till 10-11 at night after dinner, and riiding our bikes all day. No worries. Ahhh the memories. Oh not yet 30 *shivers with dread*

I remember when I was ten, I got a Pogo stick for Christmas LOL. I actually loved the stupid thing, went up and down the dirt road street, until this one girl who didn't like me (yet) came outside and started throwing rocks at me as I hopped by. Was actually one of the only violent things I've ever done, after three passes by with rocks hitting me, I hopped off my pogo, walked swiftly towards said rock thrower, and swung my pogo stick around towards her legs, she went down like a bowling pin. (pogo sticks were made of metal btw). Then I ran LOL. And No, I didn't break anything, and her mom cursed me out across the neighborhood, but she didn't know her "darling" had started it, and the girl left me alone after that LOL, and later we became friends (well on and off, she was a bit weird) they were very poor and her dad was an hardass Alcoholic, they didn't even have a bathroom in their house (3 room house), had an outhouse, but they rarely used it from the look of their back yard

Ahh Pogo sticks, hula-hoops and frisbee's But of everything I think the bicycle was the itemthat really delivered the bang for the buck, miles and miles hours and hours, the bicycle was THE one indispensable item that every one had to have.
I lived right next to a condemned school house that was 5 stories tall..we used to climb up the walls to the third floor where there were some unborded windows to get in and roam the halls finding all kinds of school junk It is amazing in retrospect to think we never got killed in that place or while climbing up the walls |
