Who has one? Pros: Cons: Hates: Loves: Must Have features (why)? (I have wifi both @ home and on campus). Who is researching it? Amazon or B&N? Why? I can it and next semester's e-books for less than next semester's books! (Gotta love edition change, 2010 print).

Re: Kindle
I don't have one myself so can't give a personal opinion however being an IT nerd I know lots of Tech savvy and non tech savvy people who all swear by them, I myself use an iPad but immedietly bought the Kindle app and purchase all my books through that and it's great.
Sorry it's not the best advice but I know for sure there must be something good about them (apart from the extremely long battery life) because so many people won't put them down. |

Re: Kindle
I been on the fence about getting one for quite some time now. It seems they are always releasing a better one when I get close. The thing the deters me is the properietry nature of it and how Amazon rule everything that goes in and out. Also, I was reading an article about how the prices have been hiked up on books recently. I mean, I still want one...just not sure if I wanna pay that much for it. And i'd want the "xtreme" version or w/e it's called. Y'know, the larger one, both in size and data storage but that adds a few hundred to the price too.
