I saw this last night and I have to admit my first reaction was "What a perfect fit".

I give Palin the benefit of the doubt on the issues she had trouble with during the election. After all, she was far removed from most of these issues, both physically and politically, and had no reason to be "up" on the latest topics - until she got chosen out of the blue by McCain and Crew to be the VP candidate. Then she was given almost no time at all to become informed on these issues before being thrown into the debates and the public eye.

I do follow these issues somewhat closely, but I would probably look as foolish as she did if I were put in the same situation.

Now that she has had more time - and reason - to become informed on political topics, we'll see if she has improved on her ability to address these issues more intelligently and knowledgeably.

Of course, her validity is crippled immediately by her chosen venue, but I there is no doubt it is the best match for her political views.

Problem is when a person portrays themselves a public leader, they open themselves to public accountability. She's been out electioneering recently, so I'm calling fair game.
