What do you mean?

It looks the same as netball to me...

No backboard // You can't dribble // You have to pass before you can move etc.

Exact same to me..

Well (i cant believe i;m talking about korfball ) the differences are that in korfbal the basket is higher (3.5m as opposed to 3.05m) the field is bigger, korfbal is played both indoors and outdoors. korfbal only has 2 areas restricting movement as opposted to 5 in netbal but the biggest difference is that korfbal is a mixed gender sport. each team is made up from 4 guys and 4 girls.

But yes its quite similar

Oh, I didnt notice the 4male/4 female part.

So yeah its slightly different, again with the restricted areas.

And netball is also both indoor and outdoor

But ok, they are different

You make a good point here. Billups is a solid player in the clutch, especially with his great free-throw shooting, but there's no reason to pick him over any of the other guards on the team (maybe Redd). Arenas is untrustworthy with his knee, and Artest is way too over-rated. I personally think the Kings are stupid to not give John Salmons and Francisco Garcia more minutes and just get rid of Artest altogether. However, Sean Marion's game has improved since 2004, even if the stats don't reflect that too much. He can grab more rebounds than most SF/PF out there, something the team will need with their current lineup.

How come Duncan and Garnett weren't given invites?

They asked not to be considered for national selection.

True, but this time they're trying to make us a star team, with more practices etc. But also, if you have the five best players in the world at their positions on a team, they will be flexible enough to adjust to each others styles. And the fact that they haven't played with each other very much will not affect their overall game very much.

Who are you rooting for anyway?

He's an Aussie living in New York... who would you like him to root for?

In any case, you're making an assumption... that the players will be flexible enough to adjust to each others' styles. In general, I wouldn't count on it... role players can do it easily, but "star" players can tend towards primadonna-land... they can't *all* be the man at the same time
