I think I would pick "Hunting high and low" by AHA over Take on me.

Slayer - Aggressive Perfector
Bathory - Reaper
Iron Maiden - The whole album "Killers"
Manowar - Hail and Kill
Kreator - Ripping corpse
Sodom - Ausgebombt (or) Agent Orange
Savage Death - Evil Dead (or) Satan´s Throne

Hell,I won´t bother listing anymore songs. There´s a LOT of good songs from the eighties

Wow...so Tempting to pick some really obscure song, I'll have to just hit a few Genres...

Metal - AC/DC - Let's Get It Up
Pop - T'Pau, Heart and Soul
Rap - N.W.A, Straight Outta Compton (HANDS DOWN the most aggressive rap ever)
Country - Charlie Daniel's Band, The South's Gonna Do It Again

So, so hard to pick just one, all the stuff above surely qualifies - but I'm surprised these weren't mentioned:

Huey Lewis and the News - Do You Believe In Love
J.Geils Band - Centerfold
ZZTop - Legs

Either that post is really clever, or your memory is failing. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, though.

the 80s had no good music . I'd consider N.W.A. early 90s even though N.W.A. and the Posse was released in 89 (or 87) I think. N.W.A. gets my vote, however.
